The new Moon on August 30th will take place at 12º40' of Leo in the Moon-ruled pada or section of the Nakshatra or vedic constellation called Magha. While the Moon is in a straight line between Us and the Sun, Mars will be in the vargottama Leo pada of the Nakshatra Purva Phalguni making Mars even stronger; Mercury will be in the Mercury-ruled pada of the Nakshatra Magha, able to “pack a punch,” and Venus will be in the Virgo pada of Purva Phalguni, envisioning the upcoming debilitation even while thankfully moving further and further away from both the Sun and Mars.

Jupiter, 4 Houses ahead of and in kendra to all of this in Scorpio and in Jyestha Nakshatra, will be adequately enabling Mercury to communicate what Mars has to say. Rahu, furthermore, will also be both vibrating with Mars’ purpose, coming from the Mars-ruled pada of Punarvasu Nakshatra, and blazooning Mars’ message for Rahu’s own purposes whatever those might be. But the Moon’s light and our inner waters will be invisible and gone.

Within this empty Moon-field, Venus will know that while Virgo awaits Venus, 5 Houses away about to become 4 are Saturn and Ketu, conjunct in Sagittarius in the powerful Pushkara Navamsha Libra pada of Purva Ashada Nakshatra. Libra is Venus’ home-office, the place in the Zodiac where Venus possesses roots. Libra is where Venus will reach after passing this martian, solar mangle in Leo and getting through debilitating Virgo. Saturn and Ketu are to be played with by Venus right now and then once in Virgo they are going to make tangible and touchable what Venus wants.

Saturn and Ketu’s time together in this powerful pada of Purva Ashada Nakshatra has been and is setting this task for human beings: To resurface the truths of the reasons for and the nature of past battles fought on this plane, while we create a new balance based on beauty.

While the Moon wanes toward the pitris or Ancestors in Magha Nakshatra, recognize your natural gifts. Natural gifts are whatever flow and manifest effortlessly from your being. Your natural gifts are gifts from your Ancestors, and for this reason you must identify them if you have not done so already, and then be grateful for them. Exalt your waning Moon.

Your natural gifts are the resources you have within to manifest the kind of beauty and equilibrium that comes so purely from your Ancestors that it could even heal their past.

As the Moon wanes towards Magha, how can you offer your Ancestors’ wisdom upon this plane, in a way that dissipates yourself so that a new reality can unsurface that is your Truth? Creation and Beauty can only come from Truth.

Truth and Ego are completely unrelated, and Truth and Liberation are one.

Venus knows that the real work in front of Venus come Virgo is not what Mercury says. The real work is not work; it is completely surrendering to Saturn and Ketu. During this waning phase, leave behind all proclamations of truth that are only to prove one’s might, even as you watch them occur.

On this new moon, lacking Moon and watching Mars, may you shine the Sun.
